This introductory course covers a range of perspectives around sound and frequency. Topics include:

About the facilitator: Sophia took up an interest in sound as a healing modality in 2017 after attending her first sound bath in Bali. She started researching and exploring frequencies and creating meditative music with organic sounds, chanting, and frequencies on YouTube. Gradually she dove deeper into a path of experiential learning during time spent in Thailand, India, Egypt, Mexico and the United States. In 2018 she bought her first sound healing instrument, a tingsha bell from Nepal. In 2020 she purchased a Himalayan singing bowl one day before the first Covid lockdown in Dharamshala, India. In 2021 during the second covid lockdown she took her first sound healing training in Goa after a synchronistic meeting with a neighbor who had 30+ years of experience in practicing and teaching sound work. Upon her return to the United States, Sophia began offering treatments in studios and private homes, with a full set of bowls she had purchased in India. Slowly slowly, more instruments came and she continued to study, learn and share the art of sound. Seeking to dive deeper, in 2023 she attended the 100 hour Sound Ceremony certification course in Guatemala. Since then she continues to share sound in combination with yin yoga, plants, ecstatic dance, forest bathing and other creative combinations. After receiving some requests to teach, she designed this course this year and shared it with multiple cohorts in Dharamshala, India. Sophia is honored to walk this path and share it with more people who can receive and spread the benefits of sound healing.
